Young ladies of the 18th century were often required to produce samplers of embroidery stitches. This unique piece of needlework taught a young lady to stitch with a fine hand, her alphabet and numbers, patience, and industry. This piece is in excellent condition and has been professionally framed. It's hard to know exactly when this one was made but it clearly took a lot of time and skill to produce!
